Meckel Translations
work with the current, well-known Translation Memory and
Terminology Management Tools.
A Translation Memory is a database for
translations, and is compiled exclusively by a human
translator.
Meckel Translations do not use any kind of automated translation systems. We work with
customer-specific databases, into which, at your request, all
translations we do for you will be stored.
A Translation Memory System breaks down your text into small
language units and stores these in pairs (original and
translated versions). Every text to be
translated, more exactly, every individual text unit, will be
automatically compared with all those units already stored in
the Translation Memory. Should the system find a corresponding
or similar translation, this is offered to the translator as a
proposal
The translator then decides whether the
proposed text is to be used, adapted or rejected.

Translation Memory Tools enable translations to be "recycled".
This creates synergies - the translator saves time and the
customer saves costs.
Furthermore, the Translation Memory is
interconnected with a Terminology Database, so that the
translator can, at all time, use and maintain your special,
company-specific terminology.
Why should existing expressions or text always have to be
re-translated?
Translation Memories recognize synergies, ensure for
consistency of text and reduce translation costs. |
